The report will list all your automobile and property insurance claims. It’s important that this re­cord be accurate, because insurers use your claim history to set rates.

Go to to get free copies of your automobile and property reports. Check them for ac­curacy. And make sure that there are no $0 claims listed. These occur some­times when you ask your agent a ques­tion about coverage. If there are, ask the reporting agent to have them re­moved.
